As a Solution Engineer Manager , you will be a part of an energetic Passenger Processing portfolio’s Solution Specialist Team (SST).
This mission-critical group supports the sales organization around the world to convince airports, airlines, and ground handlers of the value of SITA Passenger Processing’s portfolio. You will be exposed to cutting-edge leading technologies, such as Smart Path biometric passenger processing where SITA is the world leader, revolutionary “beyond Common-Use” Flex solutions for check-in & boarding, and innovative Self-Service suite of products delivering seamless journeys to the connected traveler. In a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will be engaged with presales activities supporting the regional Sales, Business Development, and Bid teams, from the initial stages to formulating a winning proposal. This key position in our organization constitutes the strong link between central product portfolio teams and Sales geographies. You will also have a key role to play in introducing new products and solutions to the market, and defining plans together with Product Management, Sales, and Business development teams.
What Will You Do
Be the prime interface for the Sales geographies (GEO) to support complex deals, non-standard or newly launched products, and solutions.
Be/become a Subject Matter Expert the GEO can rely on to get support from early stages to RFP bids
Work closely with the Account Managers and Business Development to create and refine accounts development strategies, in line with Portfolio and Business Unit strategic plans.
Be the efficient communication channel between central Product Management teams and GEO teams, ensuring roadmaps are well accounted for while market information flow back to Product Managers.
Actively track, and support sales pipeline to ensure portfolio targets are achieved.
Actively participate in customer workshops together with the Sales team and attend trade shows and other customer-facing events.
As a team player you will share the best practices of your region with the rest of the Solution Specialist Team members to elevate the level of service to the GEO and overall SST efficiency.
Coordinate multiple parties to define the solutions, such as Engineering, Product Management, Pricing, Delivery, and Operations, and ultimately get their sign-off on what is proposed by the Sales.
Who You Are
7+ years of experience in Information Technology, Air Transport Industry technology or equivalent sector or markets.
Engineering graduate with MBA (Systems/Marketing) degree is desirable.
Proven track record in producing, communicating, and documenting successful technical customer solutions of at least US$5m+ deals
Language proficiency English & Arabic advance level must.
Software engineering background – API, Cloud technologies.
Commercially minded and technology savvy with excellent presentation skills.
Ability to articulate and convince customers at various levels with excellent communication skills.
Capable of interacting with C-level decision makers.
Excellent knowledge of productivity tools like, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI , Word, Visio etc.
Knowledge of the aviation technologies for passenger processing (e.g. CUPPS, CUSS, CUWS, PRS and DCS) is desirable.
Knowledge of technical and commercial aspects as well emerging business trends in Air Transport Industry (ATI)
