We are hiring an experienced Safety Officer to join our awesome team at Al Foadia Group in Riyadh.Growing your career as a Full Time Safety Officer is a terrific opportunity to develop competitive skills.If you are strong in project management, decision-making and have the right drive for the job, then apply for the position of Safety Officer at Al Foadia Group today!Safety Officer – Petroleum Industry Job location : Riyadh Responsibilities: • Monitors compliance to the Company HSMS by conducting regular inspections and internal auditing of site activities • Monitor compliance with established site safety rules and make sure these are conspicuously posted • Conduct a daily tour of the working areas and log details of the observations on the Daily Observation Register. Unsafe conditions and unsafe acts are to be reported immediately. Raise Near Miss / Incident Reports when highlighted • Report immediately to the Site Manager any serious safety breaches that place workers in life-threatening situations • Assist the Site Manager, Construction Manager and Construction Supervisor in undertaking risk assessments and identifying safe systems of work to be recorded in safe work method statements • Develop and deliver internal training courses on health and safety topics to the site team • Develop and deliver the Site Safety Orientation Training for all workers including Subcontractors and visitors prior to starting work or visiting the site • Assist the Construction Manager in the development of safety procedures for high-risk activities and assist in briefing of the workforce on their responsibilities under these procedures. Audit against these procedures regularly and report any non-compliance to the Site Manager • Complete the incident notification and investigations and issue the report within 3 hours to the Site Manager, HSE Coordinator and HSE Manager • Review subcontractor Health & Safety plans • Audit the registers and permit systems maintained for lifting equipment, lifting accessories, excavations, confined spaces, hot works, Lock-out/Tag-out, etc. Experience & Skills : • Min 5 years' experience in HSE preferably in the oil and gas industry. • Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge and experience of health and safety management systems as well as a sound understanding of Process Safety and HSE auditing. • Should be able to communicate effectively at all levels, from crew workers to senior management. • Should have a good presentation skills to conduct basic HSE Awareness training sessions. Education : • A Diploma/degree/certificate in Health & Safety or demonstrated industry relevant experience. • Aware of latest HSE International Codes and Regulations such as IMO, ISO 9001, IS014001, OHSAS 18001.
