We are on the lookout for a capable Public Area Manager to join our dynamic team at Kempinski Hotels in muscat, muscat.Growing your career as a Full Time Public Area Manager is an incredible opportunity to develop excellent skills.If you are strong in presentation, critical thinking and have the right personality for the job, then apply for the position of Public Area Manager at Kempinski Hotels today!Public Area Manager The Public Area Manager assist the Assistant Executive Housekeeper and the Executive Housekeeper in all aspects related to Public Areas; like budget, month end reviews, refurbishment, cost control, duty roster, inventories, purchases, machines and equipment, maintenance issues, wellbeing and training of associates, and whenever required same in the rooms.Key Responsibilities:Direct the work assignments of supervisory and non-supervisory staff in an efficient manner to ensure guests wellbeing and satisfaction. Check Public Areas to ensure furnishing, facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair, well maintained and replaced / refurnished as required. Coordinate with the other sections of the Housekeeping Department and the other Departments on all relevant matters that affect the physical appearance of the hotel. Keep Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper informed and follow up on outstanding issues. Assist the Assistant Executive Housekeepers and Executive Housekeeper in the budget preparation, month end reviews, refurbishments, cost control, recruitment, management of performance, identification of training needs, development of training plan and implementation of training. Daily routine inspection of all public areas. Work closely with Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper and ensure a high level of quality in the entire public areas. Prepare a monthly training plan and conduct weekly training sessions with associates in order to maintain a high performance level. Evaluate performance of associates, keep close contact to assigned casual companies. Ensure entire garden areas are well maintained, submit proposal or needs in regard to the appearance of the garden. In agreement with the Executive Housekeeper coordinate with Garden Company for changes. Control usage of all amenities, cleaning supplies, tools and machines to ensure compliance to budget and ensure appropriate usage of machines, equipment and tools. Address required changes in workflow, machinery, chemicals, and amenities. Assist the Assistant Executive Housekeepers in the monitoring of housekeeping procedures including Lost and Found, Key Control, Security and Emergency procedures, and Health and Safety for employee and guests. Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.
