Operation Room Staff Nurse-(23000027)Description JOB DUTIES STATEMENTS: Duties and Responsibilities: Assesses , plans , implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and with standard of professional nursing practice Monitors , reports and records symptoms and changes in patient clinical condition Adheres to medication administration and blood transfusion policy and close loop administration process. Complies with pain management policy and reassessment of pain after modalities of treatment provided Adheres to infection control policies and protocols Performs point of care testing and follow critical value reporting process Prepares patient rooms, sterile equipment’s, and supplies and reports concerns to the manager or charge nurse. Refers the patient to multidisciplinary team as per initial nursing assessment or clinical needs. Activates Emergency codes as per activation criteria Maintains effective interpersonal communication skills Accompanies patient during the inter and intra-departmental transfer as per policy Coordinates the patient discharge process in accordance with DSFH discharge policy Directs and supervises less skilled nursing / health care personnel, students, interns, transition to practice program candidates and provides timely feedback. Participates in preceptorship program Ensures International safety goal is followed in all aspects of patient care Performs Quality improvement responsibilities as delegated from time to time by Nursing manager / Magnet perspectives Uses critical thinking , problem solving , and decision making with in each step of the nursing practice Promotes health and safe environment by providing adequate education and engagement to patient and family and compliance with care partner program Seeks assistance and escalates operational and clinical issues to nursing supervisor to resolve solutions when needed Participates in shared governance and decision making groups Improves professional and technical knowledge and skills by attending educational workshops , departmental clinical lectures and Continuous medical education lectures in coordination with Professional development team Attends unit meetings, activities and participate in peer review process Participates and involves in Research activities and implementation of evidence based practices Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients as “the patient is the center of our care”. Other Job Functions: Perform all duties and tasks in line with the Person Centered Care values. Adherence to all policies, plans and programs within the Fakeeh Care. Perform duties as per the code of conduct requirement and ethical standards as outlined in the HCM policies and guidelines. Complete mandatory education as per the requirement at least one month prior to expiration. Maintain up to date knowledge on information relating to quality and safety, accreditation, policy management and document management systems.
