Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented MEP Engineer to join our team! POSITION OVERVIEW : Responsibility for Parsons’s Mechanical Process Engineering for SAPL Qiddiya Infrastructure Partner (QIDP).Responsible for ensuring that all work is in full coordination with Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) and other delivery partners, under the direction of the Engineering Manager. QIC is providing strategic direction for all partners in the three-way partnership with other partners on a city-wide basis. Reports directly to the Engineering Manager. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES : Work with multi-disciplinary delivery and engineering teams to facilitate the production and review of plans, bid documents, construction documents and procurement materials for various utility systems including but not limited to pumping/lift stations, water/wastewater pipelines, and treatment plants Performs medium-complex engineering and assurance tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately related to the mechanical and process engineering needs of the program. Reviews supplier drawing submittals, shop drawings and other engineering documents and exercises engineering judgement to address project technical needs. Provides technical support to Delivery Project Teams. Supports the review and checks of designs including scope and BOQ checks and reviews and/or prepares responses to tender queries and RFIs related to assigned projects. Write, review, and provide clear, concise input to investigation, regulatory, permitting or design reports Supports the Engineering Manager and other sector leads in performing other tasks as deemed necessary as related to assigned projects. Support the Engineering and Project managers with coordinating and tracking stakeholder engineering requirements across projects Ensures adherence to all corporate, program, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures. Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and work in a fast-paced delivery program. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Degree in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in fast tracked projects with primary focus on Infrastructure and Wet/Dry Utilities Advantageous to have extensive experience of significant PM/CM contracts and Mega Projects in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Region. Engineering and/or Project Management Certification is a plus. Working knowledge of ArcGIS with associated production of maps, files, lists, etc. as well as design and CAD software is a plus. Strong communication skills in English and preferably Arabic written and spoken. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES : Demonstrated teamwork and technical management skills. Proven experience of working within complex construction environment. Ability to follow through & clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment. Ability to work in a matrix organization (dual reporting). Ability to interact with senior-level management. Ability to consult, motivate, and negotiate effectively with client groups, co-workers, employees, vendors, and contractors. Must function effectively under time constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and have the ability to prioritize.
