Urgent Requirement, Preferred Local Transfer. (Utility Foreman)
Duties
The Utilities Foreman performs specialized skilled Work involves repair and operation of utility systems and equipment. Systems which may be present include but are not limited to fire pumps, feedwater systems, sewage filtering, WTP, Irrigation System, and Swimming Pool. And coordinating the work of mechanics and technicians involved in service tap installation, utility locations, preventive maintenance, repair, and operations of the utility systems. Work also involves assistance with safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and coordinating training required for maintenance personnel. Responsible for assisting in the preparation of a variety of reports and maintaining records related to the utility system. Must exercise initiative and independent judgment in completing assignments. Performs other duties as required. Reports to the division Manager.
Overseas operations of water, sewer and meter systems by receiving work orders and assignments, assigning jobs to proper crew members, managing work on highly visible, complex or critical work assignments and conducting quality control processes to ensure use of proper techniques and processes.
Works with limited supervision to evaluate daily work tasks to ensure completion to expected ENGIE standards.
Operates, checks, and maintains moderate to complex equipment.
Ensures compliance to all ENGIE policies and procedures.
Identify opportunities for improvement and confer with team.
Monitor on site job safety to ensure employee safety.
Facilitate supplies and needs of crews.
Respond to emergency situations after hours or on weekends.
Adheres to assigned work schedules as outlined in the department attendance policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
In-charge in the operation and monitoring of the ff equipment: pumps, control panel, dosing dump, decanter, WAS pump, air blowers, rector
Regularly remove all floating FOG plastic, etc.
Remove solid waste materials trapped at the bar screen daily
Report to the process Manager on any problem that may arise in the plant.
Log all necessary information in the logbook such as decant time, flowrate and others that may be called for by the office or client
Operations Monitoring – Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Monitoring – Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
Quality Control Analysis – Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Troubleshooting – Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
Maintain the water Chlorine and PH level, by regular checking of required chemical level.

Knowledge of:

? Methods, practices, techniques, equipment, tools, materials, and supplies used for water, sewer line , swimming pool and irrigation system maintenance and repair.
? Safety regulations, protocols, principles, practices, and procedures for water and sewer line maintenance and repair.
? Operation of tools and equipment used in water and sewer line.

Ability to:

? Ability to produce desired work outcomes, including quality, quantity, and timeliness.
? Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
? Analyze and/or repair structures, equipment or machinery with minimal supervision or instructions.
? Utilize a wide variety of descriptive data and information such as water and sewer maps, equipment manuals, and ENGIE policy manuals.
? To operate, maneuver and/or control the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials used in performing essential functions.
? Skill to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Involves semi-routine standardized work with some latitude for independent judgement concerning choices of action.
? Lift a minimum of 75lbs without assistance.

Experience and Education: Any combination equivalent to the level of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities will qualify.

Experience:

Seven (7) to Ten (10) years of experience and/or training involving operation and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure, personal computer operations, and use of mechanical tools and equipment.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Licenses/Certifications:

Possession of a valid Class “B” or greater Commercial Driver License, with the appropriate endorsements is a requirement for continued employment and must be obtained within six (6) months after date of hire.
May be required to obtain certification or license specific to area of assignment after date of employment at the City’s expense.
